The PFSA decision regarding a change of the other systemically important institution buffer imposed on Santander Bank Polska S.A
The Management Board of Santander Bank Polska S.A. ("Bank"), in relation to current reports no. 27/2019 dated 17th September 2019 and no. 32/2019 dated 27th September 2019, hereby informs that on 18 October 2019 it received the Polish Financial Supervision Authority decision dated 14 October 2019 regarding a change of the other systemically important institution buffer imposed on Bank.
Pursuant to the PFSA's decision, the Bank is currently required to maintain the O-SII buffer in the amount equivalent to 0.75% of the total risk exposure amount calculated in accordance with Art. art. 92 par. 3 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No. 575/2013 of 26 June 2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms, amending Regulation (EU) No. 648/2012
The previous buffer was 0.50% of the total risk exposure amount calculated in accordance with Article. 92 par. 3 of Regulation No. 575/2013.
At the date of the report the Bank fulfills the Polish Financial Supervision authority requirement related to the minimum capital adequacy ratio on both the individual and consolidated levels.
