Decision of Polish Financial Supervision Authority regarding a change of the other systemically important institution buffer imposed on Santander Bank Polska S.A.
The Management Board of Santander Bank Polska S.A. ("Bank"), in relation to current reports no. 18/2022 dated 21st September 2022 and no. 19/2022 dated 3rd October 2022, hereby informs that on 20 December 2022 it received the Polish Financial Supervision Authority ("PFSA") decision dated 16 December 2022, regarding a change of the other systemically important institution buffer imposed on the Bank.
Pursuant to the PFSA's decision, the Bank is currently required to maintain the O-SII buffer in the amount equivalent to 1.00% of the total risk exposure amount calculated in accordance with art. 92 clause 3 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No. 575/2013 of 26 June 2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms, amending Regulation (EU) No. 648/2012.
The previous buffer was 0.75% of the total risk exposure amount calculated in accordance with Article. 92 clause 3 of Regulation No. 575/2013.
At the date of the report the Bank fulfills the PFSA requirement related to the minimum capital adequacy ratio on both the individual and consolidated levels.
